Customer Requirements and Expectations

CUSTOMER LEVEL

A product must fit its customers. Customers have legal requirements, their own obligations, personal limitations and specific expectations of the product. These requirements must be known and considered already during product development.

Our customer level integrates regulatory requirements for users and operators as well as customers' expectations of your product.

Legal Requirements for the Customer

We support the fulfilment of organizational and legal obligations on the operator side—from risk assessments to regular inspections (BetrSichV, DGUV). Wherever possible, we incorporate workplace requirements into the product design at an early stage.

Focus: Legal requirements for use

Customer Obligations

Safe operation of a product may require the customer to perform certain tasks, such as cleaning, maintenance, care, inspections or using the product as intended.

These obligations must be described clearly, technically enabled and considered in product design.

Focus: Safe and sustainable use

Customer Requirements and User Expectations

Customer requirements sometimes go beyond legal requirements. Readability, operating logic, speed, ergonomics, additional functions or specific quality characteristics can influence the purchasing decision.

Users' limitations must also be known—for example age, physical conditions, available time, attention, knowledge or available tools.

Requirements and limitations must be considered during product development. This is important for the safety concept and relevant to consumer testing.

Focus: Usability

Result

Customer requirements belong in the requirements specification. However, they must be compatible with the risk analysis. Contradictions must therefore be identified and addressed during product development.

We integrate customer requirements and safety-related insights during product development. This results in a consistent set of requirements for both in-house developments and purchased components.
